The Squishiest Baby Ever {newborn portraits, Lindenhurst, IL}

Would you believe it if I said that I actually did Mama’s senior pictures several years ago??  And now she’s a beautiful mommy to a beautiful little girl.  A tiny, itty bitty scrap of a thing that was an absolute angel the entire session.  I’m not kidding.  I think I heard her squawk once for about two seconds.  I didn’t even really have to break out my patented “get this baby to sleep and fast!” move!

I’ve been wanting to try some shots like this for a while now, and am so happy I had the opportunity to do so with this family.  They turned out even better than I envisioned them!

Without further ado, I give you, Baby A…

Thanks, Carley & Todd, for letting me play & for trusting me with the memories of your brand new baby girl!

Until next time,
Brianne

You Can Make a Difference

2011 has been a tough year for my family.  Emotionally draining and exhausting, and that’s part of the reason my posts have been so few and far between.  But I couldn’t let this opportunity pass me by, so here I am!

Most of you probably know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Breast Cancer is such a prevalent disease that it’s unusual for anyone to not be affected by it.  Even so, it was one of those things that was always in the background for me – it happened to other people’s families.  I’ve been affected by breast cancer before – I’ve had friends or their family members be diagnosed; I’ve even had family members down the line fight the disease, but it’s never been quite as close as it has this year.

Very recently, one of my aunts was diagnosed with stage 2 Breast Cancer.  She’s the youngest of four girls, mom of three and awaiting the arrival of her very first grandson next month.

My aunt has started her treatments, has picked out her wig (it looks great), and has a strong support system in place.  With all of my heart, right down to my toes, I know she will beat this.  But I also know that I want to help stop this disease from affecting others in any way that I can.

That’s why, for the entire month of October, any session that you book (you just have to book it – you don’t have to hold the session in October. You can save it for next month, or next spring!) from October 1-31, 100% of the session fee will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. With only seven sessions booked, that’s over $1000 that can be donated to this worthy cause!

So, what could be better? You get a session with your family, your kids, your newborn baby, or your growing belly and you get to help stop a disease that affects way too many people.

Call (847-970-8055) or email (info@essenceportraits.com) today to schedule your session.

Until next time,
Brianne

G Family {family portraits, Kenosha WI}

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this family more times than I can count.  It’s always such a pleasure to watch the kids grow, especially when I’ve photographed them at only weeks only, and now they can talk and jump and giggle.Thank you, Melissa, for another wonderful session!  I look forward to continuing to watch your children grow!

Until next time,
Brianne

Graceyn {Twin Lakes Newborn Photography}

I love, love, love when I get a call-back from a previous client.  For one thing, it tells me that they enjoyed my work enough to want to welcome me into their homes again! There’s no greater compliment than that.  For another, and the reason that I love the most: I get to see how their child(ren) have grown.

Jessica and Shane welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world, along with big sister Vivian.

Thank you, Jessica & Shane, for trusting me to capture your little ones again!

Until next time,
Brianne
